How to get Started

If you would like to explore whether play therapy might be a helpful option for your child, please feel free to fill out the contact form or get in touch with me directly via email. I am also happy to offer a free 20-minute, no-obligation phone  call to discuss your needs and answer any questions you may have.

What to Expect

If we decide to continue, the next step is a one-hour paid meeting with parents or carers to explore your child’s needs in more depth and discuss the therapeutic process. A second meeting then includes gently introducing your child to the therapy space. This meeting may or may not include parents/carers and generally lasts up to one clinical hour (45-50 minutes).

Weekly play therapy sessions will then follow. An initial block of 12–16 sessions is usually recommended. Review meetings with parents or carers are held during and at the end of the therapy block to reflect on progress and consider next steps.

The therapy room is a confidential space for your child to express themselves freely. Although I may share general themes or observations during review meetings, specific details from sessions are kept confidential, unless there is a safeguarding concern or risk of harm. This helps protect your child’s privacy and supports the development of a trusting therapeutic relationship.
