Ellen, BAPT play therapist at Embrace Play Therapy

About Ellen | BAPT Play Therapist in london

Hello, I’m Ellen, a BAPT (British Association of Play Therapists) play therapist with over six years' experience working with children, young people, and families.

My background in social science and psychology continues to inform my therapeutic approach, helping me to understand each child within the context of their experiences, relationships, and environment.

I offer play therapy sessions within schools across South and South West London, including Putney, Wimbledon, Wandsworth, Battersea, Clapham and Lambeth, with flexibility to discuss other areas.

I provide both one-to-one and group support, and work closely with parents, carers, and professionals to help build understanding, strengthen relationships, and support each child’s emotional wellbeing.

What is a BAPT Play Therapist?

As a BAPT play therapist, I have completed a Master’s-level training accredited by the British Association of Play Therapists.

This includes in-depth learning in child development, attachment, and therapeutic approaches such as humanistic, systemic and psychodynamic theory.

There are many different titles used within play-based work, so it can be helpful to check that a therapist is registered with a recognised professional body and appropriately trained.
